Ladislav Lauda was a Czech architect professor and author of several publications about history of architecture, born in Pilsen in 1889. During his career he designed several pictorial maps of former Czechoslovakia. Among the most important maps are Názorné plány Prahy, Kulturní mapa republiky Československé, Mapa zaujímavostí cestovného ruchu na Slovensku and pictorial map of his hometown Pilsen. He worked as teacher working in Sarajevo (Serbia), Spišská Nová Ves (Slovakia) and Pilsen, where he also died in 1963.
