Charming miniature celestial globe, perfect for serving as a decorative bookend. The globe was produced by Dietrich Reimer publishing house, a renowned German globemaker who established his legacy in the 19th century and continued to be active until mid 20th century. Reimers collaborated with esteemed cartographers Heinrich Kiepert and later A. Vohsen to bring his globes to life.

Notably, the star map on the globe categorizes stars into four types based on their size and delineates the boundaries of each constellation. This globe makes for a beautiful decoration for anyone passionate about the wonders of the night sky.

Condition

Small portion of the latitude scale on the half meridian is chipped of, otherwise the globe is in good condition.
