This atlas made by Czech proffesor Stanislav Nikolau is one of the very first atlases completely written in Czech language, even though official language in the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy (which Czechoslovakia was part of untilk 1918) was still German. Majority of the maps (with some exceptions like the map of Prague) are translated versions of maps from the German Brockhaus encyclopedia. There was also another, larger version of this atlas - Ottův Zeměpisný Atlas published fourteen years later in 1924, which is based on the maps from German Debes Neuer Handatlas.
The atlas is in exceptionaly good condition. It looks just like new, without any damage or signs of age whatsoever, which is really remarkable.
