Unique plastic globe as scientific instrument

c.
1950

Full title

Published by

Very untraditional scientific teaching instrument dated to the 1950's, most likely produced in Czechoslovakia as they seem to mostly appear in that region. It was used to demonstrate the Earth's tropics and polar circles and their meaning related to sun rays trajectory. It displays equator in red, tropics in green and polar circles in blue colour. The globe's can be tilted using one of the black rotary knobs.

Condition

Overall good, but a little bit dirty on the inside (I am sure it can be dismantled and cleaned). The tilting mechanism works well and it also rotates well. Very heavy item due to full metal base.
